NEW LONDON, Conn- April 2, 2008 -The Springfield College men’s tennis team earned a 6-3 victory against Connecticut College (3-6) in a non-conference match played in New London Wednesday afternoon. Andrew Constant (Kingston, N.Y.) posted a 6-2, 6-1 victory at #1 singles for the Pride. Trevor Romanzi (Bayshore, N.Y.) and Tim Tunis (Sudbury, Mass.) were victorious in their respective spots at #4 and #6 singles for the visitors.
Connecticut College freshman Trevor Prophet (Nashua, N.H.) posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory at #2 singles. Ted McAusher (Mystic, Conn.) secured a 6-3, 7-6 win at #3 singles for the Camels. The Pride won each of the three points in doubles play.
