Wrestling Finishes Second At Ithaca Invitational
Complete ResultsITHACA, N.Y. - Nov. 8 - Springfield College junior Scott Fay (Danbury, Conn.) won the 285-lb. weight class to lead the Pride to a second-place finish in its season opener at the Ithaca College Invitational on Saturday.
The College of New Jersey won the meet with 153.5 points followed by Springfield (137.5), Delaware Valley (Pa.) (134.5), Ithaca (129.5) and Cortland (117) in the top five.
Fay scored an 8-3 decision over The College of New Jersey's Keith Bjorhus in the final match to earn the championship title.
Senior Tom Medonis (Wethersfield, Conn.) finished runner-up in the 197-lb. weight class for the Pride.

Head Coach Daryl Arroyo
Former Springfield College All-American Daryl Arroyo will be entering his 19th season as the head wrestling coach at his alma mater in 2008-09. Under his tutelage, the Springfield College wrestling program has posted a 265-141-6 overall dual-meet record, good for an outstanding .650 winning percentage.
