Men's Gymnastics Finishes Second at Temple
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Feb. 16, 2008- Paced by several outstanding individual efforts, the Springfield College men's gymnastics team finished in second place at a tri-meet hosted by Temple University on Saturday evening.Temple claimed first place in the tri-meet with a score of 339.450, while the Springfield men placed second in a score of 329.600. MIT rounded out the meet with a mark of 311.800.
Freshman Josh Fox finished second in the all-around with a score of 80.500. Fox picked up a fourth place finish on the vault with a mark of 15.200, and finished fifth on the floor routine with a score of 14.400.
The Pride also had Matt Bolognese register a mark of 14.950 on the still rings, in which he claimed first place. JJ Ferreira recorded a 14.500 on the floor exercise to lead the way for Springfield as well.
Springfield next returns home to take on William & Mary and Illinois-Chicago on Sunday (Feb. 24) at 1:00 pm.

Head Coach Steve Posner
Entering his 30th season as head men's gymnastics coach, Dr. Steve Posner is recognized as one of the most outstanding gymnastics coaches in the East. Posner, who has coached 145 All-Americans and 21 National Champions, led the Pride to another successful season in 2011.
