Springfield College to Host the NCGA National Championships March 26-27

Springfield, Mass. -- March 18, 2010 -- Springfield College will host the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championships on Friday and Saturday, March 26-27 at the College's Blake Arena. It will be the first time SC has hosted the nationals in women's gymnastics since the year 2000. Read more.

Sobel Finishes Second on One-Meter at NCAA Championships

Minneapolis, Minn. - March 19, 2010 - Brian Sobel finished second in the country in the one-meter diving competition on Friday evening at the 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. Sobel totaled 527.90 points en route to finishing second in the nation as he took home his second All-American honor of the week. Read more.

Softball Sweeps A Pair in Final Day of Rebel Games

Kissimmee, Fla. - March 19, 2010 - The Springfield College softball team swept a pair of games in their final day of the 2010 Rebel Games on Friday afternoon. The Pride scored 20 runs on the day as it defeated William Paterson, 10-8, and Transylvania, 10-7. SC ended its Spring Break trip with a 4-6 record. Read more.

No. 4 Hamilton Hands Women's Lacrosse First Loss of the Season, 16-7

San Antonio, Texas - March 19, 2010 - The Springfield College women's lacrosse team lost its first game of the season on Friday afternoon as fourth-ranked Hamilton cruised to a 16-7 victory. Jackie Moscardelli and Erin Doolan each scored a pair of goals in the loss. Read more.

Men's Tennis Ends Spring Break With a 6-3 Win Over St. Scholastica

Orlando, Fla. -- March 18, 2010 -- The Springfield College men's tennis team ended its Spring Break trip to Florida with a 6-3 victory over St. Scholastica of Duluth, Minnesota. With the win, the Pride is now 2-4 in 2009-2010, and ends the trip with a 1-3 mark. Read more.

Reggio Finishes Third On One-Meter at NCAA Championships

Minneapolis, Minn. - March 18, 2010 - Senior Michelle Reggio had a tremendous showing at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday evening as she placed third in the country on the one-meter board. Reggio totaled 417.50 points as she earned All-American honors for her standout performance. Read more.

Orlando, Fla. -- March 18, 2010 -- Despite singles victories from Tim Tunis, Ben Burnap, and Eric Henne, the Springfield College men's tennis team fell to a 5-4 defeat at the hands of Division II-foe Augustana of South Dakota earlier today. Read more.

Baseball Ends Spring Break Trip With 11-10 Win Over Minot State (N.D.)

Phoenix, Ariz. - March 18, 2010 - The Springfield College baseball team wrapped up its Spring Break trip with an 11-10 win over Minot State from North Dakota on Thursday afternoon. Karl Quist went 3-for-5, with two doubles, three RBI, and two runs scored as the Pride now stands at 4-3 on the season. Read more.

Softball Splits in Florida Versus Two Schools from Wisconsin

Kissimmee, Fla. - March 18, 2010 - The Springfield College softball team snapped its five-game skid on Thursday afternoon after downing Wisconsin-River Falls, 7-3, in the first of two games at the Rebel Games. Amanda Novak had a home run and three RBI in the victory. But the Pride then fell to St. Norbert of Wisconsin, 3-2, in the nightcap. Read more.
