About The Team

Under the direction of head coach Bryan Brown, the Springfield College men's cross country team is poised to take the next step as a highly successful program. Brown returns a handful of very talented runners, including fifth-year Brian Fuller, who participated in the NCAA Championships in 2009. Also poised to continue their success include former NEWMAC Rookie of the Year Zach Pietras, and All-New England performers Ryan O'Connell and Anthony Salvucci.

The Pride has placed in the top three at 25 of 27 conference championships in which it has competed, winning seven team titles. The 2010 squad ran to a 11th-place finish (out of 49 teams) at the New England Regional Division III Championships.

Springfield College has received NCAA Division III Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team honors for eight of the last 11 seasons. The award goes to teams that earn a cumulative grade-point average of 3.1 or higher.

Head Coach Bryan Brown Bryan Brown will enter his first as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2011. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, will take over a program which has finished in the top three at the NEWMAC Championships in each of the past seven seasons .
