Kambara Leads Men's Cross Country To 28th at N. E. Championships
Click here for complete resultsBOSTON, Oct. 8. 2004 – Springfield College sophomore Tetsuji Kambara (Osaka, Japan) was the top SC runner at Friday's New England Cross Country Championship held at Franklin Park. Kambara placed 89th out of the 315-man field with a time of 26:30.
The Pride finished 28th overall out of 48 participating schools.
Sophomore Pat Hepper (Bernards, N.J.) crossed the finish line second for the Pride (27:16, 148th) followed by senior Pat DeRocco (Utica, N.Y.) (27:34, 173rd). Right behind DeRocco was sophomore Pat Gann (Guilford, Conn.) who completed the eight-kilometer course in 27:34. Co-captain Steve Wilson (West Hartford, Conn.) rounded out the top five for SC (27:50, 190th).

Head Coach Peter Ferraro
Peter Ferraro, a 2007 graduate of Springfield College, enters his fourth season at the helm of men's cross country team at his alma mater in the fall of 2010. Ferraro led the Pride to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships in 2009 and was honored as the NEWMAC Coach of the Year.
