Men's Cross Country Third At Conference Championships

Oct. 30, 2004 – Springfield College junior Pat Hepper (Bernards, N.J.) ran a personal-best time of 26:49 to place 11th at the NEWMAC Championship meet on Saturday (Oct.30). By placing in the top 14, Hepper received all-conference honors and led the Pride to a third-place finish in the seven-team field.
Senior co-captain Steve Wilson (West Hartford, Conn.) and senior Pat DeRocco (Utica, N.Y.) placed 15th (27:16) and 16th (27:22), respectively. Sophomore Pat Gann (Guilford, Conn.) was the fourth SC runner to cross the finish line (27:39, 24th) followed by junior co-captain, Scott Barton (Fort Plain, N.Y.) in 30th, with a time of 27:50.
Next up for the Pride is the ECAC Division III Championships, November 6 at Tufts.

Head Coach Peter Ferraro
Peter Ferraro, a 2007 graduate of Springfield College, enters his fourth season at the helm of men's cross country team at his alma mater in the fall of 2010. Ferraro led the Pride to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships in 2009 and was honored as the NEWMAC Coach of the Year.
