Women's Volleyball Finishes Fourth At MIT Invitational
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Sept. 27 - Springfield College sophomore opposite
Ashley Reves (Orchard Park, N.Y.) was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the Pride to fourth-place at the MIT Invitational on Saturday.
Springfield (13-2) extended its school-record winning streak to 13 on Friday night with five-set wins over Tufts (20-30, 30-19, 26-30, 30-24, 18-16) and Western Connecticut (28-30, 30-23, 30-13, 26-30, 15-12).
Saturday saw the Pride drop its first two matches of the season, falling to Williams (30-26, 26-30, 30-21, 32-30) and MIT (30-23, 30-20, 29-31, 30-27) in the championship bracket.

Joel Dearing will enter his 22nd season as head women's volleyball coach at his alma mater in the fall of 2010. Dearing is regarded nationally as one of the sport’s best coaches and he has the resume to prove it. Dearing ranks in the top-10 in Division III history with a 697-305 (.695) overall mark in 29 seasons as a women’s volleyball coach.
