Women's Tennis Falls To M.I.T., 8-1
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 2, 2004 - Springfield College senior Aimee Dalenta (Tolland,Conn.) and SC junior Suzanne Caiati (New Canaan, Conn.) won at #1 doubles (8-4) but it was M.I.T. downing the Pride, 8-1, in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference women’s tennis action today at Appleton Courts.
For the Engineers, senior Jaclyn Cichon (Tampa, Fla.) won her #2 doubles match, 8-2, and her #2 singles match, 6-1, 6-3. Freshman Serena Lin (Saratoga, Calif.) won at #3 doubles 8-0, and #1 singles 6-1, 6-2.
The Engineers improve to 3-1 (3-1 NEWMAC), while the Pride falls to 2-5 (1-2 NEWMAC).

Tim Losee ’05, G’07 enters his second season as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returned to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
