Women's Tennis Falls In Season Opener
WELLESLEY, Mass., Sept. 11, 2004 – Springfield College opened its 2004 season with a 9-0 loss at Wellesley in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference tennis match Saturday at Wellesley.
Led by Jenna Mezin at No. 1 singles and doubles, Wellesley dropped just one game in singles action and five games overall. Trish Devine and Hali Wither also earned victories in both singles and doubles. Devine defeated SC’s Meghan Kelly in straight sets at No. 2 singles while
Wither fared just as well at six singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Angela Giles.

Tim Losee ’05, G’07 enters his second season as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returned to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
