Softball Improves To 4-0 At Rebel Games
Game 1 - Springfield 6, Wisconsin-Lacrosse 5
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla., March 17, 2003 - Springfield College senior All-American first baseman Ali Gerrish (Plymouth, Mass.) went 2-for-4 with a game-tying three-run homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead the Pride to the come-from-behind victory, 6-5, over Wisconsin-Lacrosse at the Rebel Games in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Junior third baseman Missy Rupprecht (Braintree, Mass.) singled home senior second baseman Nicole Coromato (Utica, N.Y.) in the bottom of the seventh inning for the game-winning RBI. Sophomore pitcher Brianne Pearson (Brockton, Mass.) picked up the win, throwing a complete game with six strikeouts and yielding one walk.
Game 2 - Springfield 5, Wisconsin-Superior 0
Sophomore pitcher Amy Brucker (Westerly, R.I.) threw a complete-game four hitter to lead the Pride to the 5-0 win over Wisconsin-Superior at the Rebel Games in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Brucker yeilded only four hits and one walk, with one strikeout, for her second-straight win over Superior. She also only yielded four hits in a complete game win, 9-1, on Sunday.

Head Coach Julie Perrelli

Julie Perrelli was been named an Assistant Professor of Physical Education and Head Softball Coach at Springfield College in June of 2009. The head softball coach at Smith for the past three years, Perrelli received both her doctorate (this past May) and her masters in 2004 from Springfield College, where she served as a graduate assistant for the Pride from the 2003 through 2006 seasons.
