The Red Flash got off to a fast start in game one going on a 7-1 run, but the Pride clawed its way back into the contest behind 10 kills from Mueller and eventually took a 23-22 lead after a kill from sophomore setter
Robert Soris (Niskyuna, N.Y.). The score continued to seesaw back and forth until Kelly registered back-to-back kills for St. Francis giving game one to the Red Flash, 38-36.

Brent Way (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) was credited with back-to-back kills, pushing the Red-Flash lead to 10-6. SC stayed within striking distance, but three-straight attack errors by the Pride gave St. Francis a 23-17 lead and control of game two.
St. Francis jumped out a 15-10 lead to start game three and didn’t allow the Pride to come within five points the rest of the way. With the win the Red Flash picked up their first victory of the season.
SC returns to action next Saturday (Jan. 29) at 3:00 p.m. to open the EIVA-Tait conference portion of its schedule versus Division I George Mason University.
