SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 6, 2004 – Springfield College junior swing hitter
Brandon Mueller (Bartlett, Ill.) totaled 26 kills and a sparkling .533 hitting percentage to lead the Pride to the 3-0 (30-27, 30-23, 30-24) sweep of Division I Princeton University in Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Tait Division action in Blake Arena.
Freshman setter
Robert Soris (Niskyuna, N.Y.) added 57 assists and guided the Pride offense to a .541 team hitting percentage as Springfield broke a five-match losing streak with the victory.
Senior swing hitter
Chris Hosley (Nassau, N.Y.) added nine kills and a match-high 13 digs for SC (5-8, 3-5 EIVA Tait).
Princeton (9-5, 3-3 EIVA Tait) junior outside hitter
Blake Robinson (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) led the Tigers with 16 kills, while sophomore middle blocker
Brian Hamming (Lake Forest, Ill.) chipped in 13 kills.
