No. 3 Men's Volleyball Powers Past Harvard, 3-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 27, 2004 – With a match-high 19 kills from junior swing hitter Brandon Mueller (Bartlett, Ill.), the No. 3 Springfield College Pride powered past the visiting Harvard University Crimson, 3-0 (30-20, 30-26, 30-23), in men's volleyball action this evening in Blake Arena.

Springfield (6-12) totaled a .333 team hitting percentage en route to winning the match, while holding the Crimson (10-6) to a .059 team hitting percentage.

Junior libero Eduardo Stawinski (San Juan, Puerto Rico) chipped in 14 digs, as senior opposite Chris Hosley (Nassau, N.Y.) added seven kills and nine digs for the Pride.

Sophomore opposite Seamus McKieman (Santa Barbara, Calif.) paced the Crimson with 11 kills, while junior outside hitter Will Reppun (Honolulu, Hawaii) added eight kills.

The victory extended SC’s lead in the all-time series with the Crimson to 46-20.

SC returns to action Tuesday (March 30), hosting NYU in a 7:00 match in Blake Arena.
