 Founded in 1885, Springfield College is known worldwide as the Birthplace of Basketball® and for the guiding principles of its humanics philosophy—educating students in spirit, mind and body for leadership in service to others.
Located in scenic western Massachusetts, Springfield College’s foundation of academic excellence and rich athletic heritage gives students real-world leadership skills in transforming lives and communities. Degrees are offered in 40 undergraduate and 15 graduate major areas of study, including doctoral degrees in physical education and physical therapy.
