The Doctoral Degree

The objective of the doctoral program, in harmony with the Humanics philosophy of the College, is the education of the whole person; it is concerned not only with imparting knowledge and the search for knowledge, but also with wisdom in the use of that knowledge in the service of people.

Ph.D. in Physical Education

Persons who wish to study toward the Doctoral of Physical Education degree at Springfield College must submit a formal application at least six weeks prior to the beginning of the semester in which they wish to enroll. Application forms may be obtained from the Office of Graduate Studies or from the Office of Graduate Admissions. Visit the physical education department for details.


D.P.T. in Physical Therapy

The Physical Therapy graduate program entails three-and-a-half years that culminate in the awarding of an entry level physical therapy degree. Starting in the summer of 2008, graduate students will enter a program to earn an entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T) degree. Visit the physical therapy department for more details.
