Graduation Center
The Graduation Center will be open from Thursday, March 1,
through Saturday, March 3, 2012, in the Cleveland E. and Phyllis
B. Dodge Room in the Richard B. Flynn Campus Union.
Academic regalia is required at Commencement and
Baccalaureate, and graduating students are asked to visit
the Graduation Center to purchase caps and gowns and to verify
that their degree application is in order. Representatives of the
Career Center, the Office of Alumni Relations, the Office of the
Registrar, and the Senior Class will be available to distribute
information and respond to questions. Graduating students
will also be able to purchase class rings and graduation
announcements from either Herff-Jones or Jostens.
The Graduation Center hours are as follows:
- Thursday, March 1, 2012 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday, March 2, 2012 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday, March 3, 2012 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Those who are unable to attend the Graduation Center can purchase their cap and gown at the Springfield College Bookstore during normal business hours. Caps and gowns will be available from March 7, 2012 through graduation. Graduating students who are at one of the regional SHS campuses or who are unable to purchase their cap and gown at the bookstore should order them directly from Herff-Jones (
www.herff-jones.com or 1-800-837-4235). Personalized announcements and rings can be also be ordered directly from Herff-Jones. Generic announcements and rings can be ordered from Jostens (
www.jostens.com or 1-800-854-7464).
2012 Cap and Gown Price List:
- Bachelor’s Unit $37
- Master’s Unit* $40
- Master’s Hood* $30
- Doctoral Unit* $49
- Doctoral Hood* $38
*Master’s and Doctoral students must purchase both a unit
and a hood.
There is a shipping charge of $15 if ordered through the mail.
