Hello From the Staff of East Campus
As the seasons change so do the program offerings at East Campus. Traditionally, most of our summer resources are focused on Camp Massasoit, which offers a variety of activities and experiences for youth from the greater Springfield area and beyond.
This summer marked our 79th year of Camp, during which we were fortunate to share our facilities and programs at East Campus with more than 450 campers ranging in age from 5 to 16 years.
Each summer, our campers are able to explore the beautiful grounds at East Campus, as well as enjoy adventure-based programs that occur off site around New England. On any given day, campers may be kayaking and canoeing on the water, hitting a bull’s-eye at archery, discovering nature at Project Wild, learning to swim in the College’s natatorium, or climbing on the ropes course.
We want to share with you a snapshot of our summer and how Camp Massasoit campers brought East Campus to life. Additionally, throughout this newsletter, you will learn more about the Friends of East Campus, the projects that were completed because of the generosity of donors, and how you can make a contribution to support our current and future needs.
We would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who spent a portion of his or her summer with us, as well as to those who have provided financial support to East Campus and Camp Massasoit in the past.
