Time to Program Completion
Doctoral students are required to complete a minimum of 115 academic credits over four of five years of study. Students entering the program with a master's degree in counseling or a related field can transfer in up to 42 credits of coursework and will require at least three years of coursework followed by at least one year of doctoral internship. Students entering without a master's degree in counseling or a related field will require at least four years of coursework with at least one year of doctoral internship.

Financial Aid, Fellowships, and Assistantships
Springfield College has a wide range of opportunities for graduate students seeking employment and funding. Available positions range from hourly assistantship positions to “full-time” (20 hours a week) fellowship positions that cover tuition and include a monthly stipend.
