Program Graduation Rates

The total number of graduates from the Springfield College Occupational Therapy Program during the three- year period of 2019-2021/2022 was 129 with an overall graduation rate of 94%. Degrees are conferred in either December of the current year or May and August of the following year. These data represent students starting in the professional phase of the program and reflect academic year reporting.

Employment Data

A recent survey of Springfield College Occupational Therapy Program graduates revealed that 99.5% of those who responded are working either full- or part-time, with just .5% still seeking employment.

Springfield College OT Program graduates work in the following settings:

  • 28% in schools
  • 21% in acute care hospitals
  • 21% in rehab hospitals or units
  • 21% in skilled nursing facilities
  • 16% in pediatric outpatient services
  • 12% in adult outpatient therapy
  • 9% in mental health facilities
  • 9% in early intervention programs
  • 7% in private group practices

...and a variety of other settings, including homecare, colleges, and hand therapy clinics. (The total is more than 100% because many graduates work in more than one setting.)
